Chewy On Your Boot continues to cleanse Victorian School grounds and carpets of disgusting chewing gum litter. Currently well over a million blobs have been given the "boot", this equates to 9000 kilos or (9 tonnes).

We work together with management and staff to get rid of discarded chewing and bubble gum (GUMPOX) from footpaths, courtyards, canteen, locker & toilet precincts, outdoor furniture, desks and carpets.

• School authorities appreciate that not only do we do a good job, eliminating it safely and properly, we also save water at the same time - an important issue to impress upon their students, the keepers of the world of tomorrow.

• They have also discovered that once the area is rid of unsightly gum, the kids show respect for the clean zone and the problem is often gone for good. In many instances, the students are shocked and impressed to see how much gum has built up over the years and how clean it becomes.

• School authorities are also conscious of the potential health dangers. Not only is discarded gum unsightly, but contains bacteria and never breaks down. Students and parents should not have to experience filthy chewing gum blobs that have multiplied over the years.

Melbourne University School of Dental Science has completed a 5 year trial of Recaldent sugar free chewing gum, on students at 29 Melbourne schools.  Unfortunately much of this chewing gum has been spat out on school grounds, creating a huge amount of filthy chewing gum litter.

Students that don't "gumspit", teachers and parents should not have to walk on unhygienic, unsightly discarded chewing gum.
